Instructions and Help about disable options to download, print, and copy for commenters and viewers google drive

This is Darius from V rabbit pat calm and in this video I'm going to show you how to keep viewers and commenters of vials that you've shared from copying a printing or downloading those documents please make sure that you hit that subscribe button and that notification bell so that you can be notified when I publish new videos so on the screen here I have a file that I want to share and I'm just going to share with myself but I don't want the other person to be able to copy that file print that file or download that file so what you do is you click the share button and you will see these two little boxes come up and in this box here you need to select the people with whom you want to share the document and I'm just going to type in my own email address to my other account and in order for this to work the other person has to be a viewer or commenter this will not work if you allow the other person to edit the document so after you type in the email address go over here to the right click this arrow or anywhere in that box and select viewer or commenter viewing allows the other person to see the document setting someone as a commenter allows them to make comments on the document without necessarily editing the document itself so I'm going to set myself as a commenter and then in order to turn off the setting that would allow the other person to copy print or download that file you need to click the gear in the upper right hand corner and now you have the options here you will be able to change that setting so all you need to do if you don't want viewers and commenters to be able to download print or copy is uncheck that box and it lets you know that it's been activated and then click that back arrow and then click send and now the file is shared with that other person which in this case is myself so now I've opened this file in my other Google Drive account and I'm going to try to print it Oh nope I can't do that there's no option here to print a file it's it's grayed out the printer is grayed out so let me see if I can make a copy no I can't make a copy either and I also can't download that file as well so I can't download it or save it as a PDF or something like that now this isn't foolproof if someone wants to take a screenshot there's nothing keeping them from doing that so this is how you keep people from being able to copy print or download fouls you share with them on Google Drive if you found this video helpful please click that like button and ...

If I share an Excel document on Google Drive with the option "Anyone on the Internet can find and View", can they download it too?
Under sharing options check Disable options to download print and copy formenters and viewers. Once you've deleted the document it's gone unless someone opted to add it to their drive or made a copy while it was public. It is also possible that someone using a sync app could have a copy on their local drive. If you used the public option but did not share with anyone specifically it is unlikely that someone was able to discover the document on their own. Personally I've never really seen Google Drive files (or Docs)ing up in search results but honestly the answer to your question depends on a lot of variables I don't have knowledge of.
